Micron announced it will officially break ground January 16 on its $100 billion megafab in Onondaga County, N.Y. Construction activity at the site had been moving in fits and starts until this point.

Recycling outfit Comstock Metals received permission from Nevada environmental departments to process solar panels at its materials recovery facility in Silver Springs, Nev. Comstock also received approval for an air quality control permit.
Duravit opens first North American plant in Québec
Located on the St. Lawrence River in Matane, Quebec, the first North American manufacturing facility for Germany-based Duravit officially opened in November 2025. At approximately 375,000 square feet, the facility is one of the first plants in the world to fire sanitary ceramics with electric kilns powered almost entirely by renewable hydropower.

BA Glass to acquire stake in Sotuver
Portugal-based BA Glass reached an agreement with the Bayahi Group to acquire an equity stake in Tunisian glass manufacturer Sotuver. BA Glass and Bayahi will partner in speeding up the growth of Sotuver to strengthen its position as a reference in glass packaging production in the Mediterranean region.
Titan America announces agreement to acquire Keystone Cement Company
Building material company Titan America SA entered into an agreement to acquire Keystone Cement Company, a Pennsylvania-based cement manufacturer and aggregates producer, from the Fortaleza, Uniland, and Tritadura groups. This transaction represents a significant expansion of Titan America’s footprint in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Meta signs three nuclear power deals to help support its AI data centers
Meta struck agreements with TerraPower, Oklo, and Vistra for nuclear power for its Prometheus AI data center that is being built in New Albany, Ohio. The deals are expected to support up to 6.6 gigawatts of new and existing clean energy by 2035.
