Ciner Glass unveils plans to develop glass packaging facility in UK

Ciner Glass, part of the Turkish industrial organization Ciner Group, unveiled plans to construct a two-furnace glass packaging facility in the U.K. The proposed glass packaging factory will feature two furnaces, as well as warehousing facilities at the Rassau Industrial Estate in Ebbw Vale, Wales.

Nipro Pharmapackaging to invest $60 million in glass packaging expansion

Nipro Pharmapackaging is to invest $60 million in expanding its glass packaging facilities in Aumale, France, and Millville, New Jersey. First production out of the new capacity is scheduled to start in 2021. The investment will come to full fruition by 2024.

Norway cement plant moves forward on carbon capture

Cement maker Norcem tested Aker Solutions’ carbon capture technology at its Brevik cement production plant for 18 months and now hopes to win government approval following a review this summer. If the facility wins funding and is constructed, it will become the world’s first full-scale carbon capture and storage facility for cement production.

Manufacturing firm best known for its glass jars takes 678K-SF facility in North Texas

Colorado-based containers and packaging company Ball Corp will be taking a brand new warehouse in south Fort Worth in early 2021, according to developer Majestic Realty Co. The 678,000-square-foot warehouse off Everman Parkway is a build-to-suit for Ball Corp and is scheduled for completion in January.

Energy Fuels Inc entered into consulting agreements with two rare earth element industry experts, Constantine Karayannopoulos and Brock O’Kelley, to aid in the development and implementation of commercial and technical rare earth element strategies for the new U.S. rare earth element program the company is pursuing.
