- Owens Corning, a global producer of glass fiber reinforcements for composite systems and residential and commercial building materials, has announced a manufacturing supply alliance with Xingtai Jinniu Fiberglass Company. The supply alliance will utilize Jinniu´s existing glass fiber furnace capacity in China to provide a reliable supply of customized boron-free glass fiber reinforcements. The alliance will leverage Owens Corning´s technology expertise for environmentally sustainable manufacturing.
- Magnezit Group put into operation a new workshop with a capacity 32,000 tpy designed to produce periclase-carbon bricks on carbores and resin binder using a hot technique for mass preparation and forming at its Slovmag plant (Lubenik, Slovakia). As a result, Slovmag’s capacity has increased more than six times. Earlier the company produced up to 5,000 tpy of periclase-carbon bricks using only resin binder. Investment in the project were 7 million euro.
