Although the year is still relatively new, we already have the winners of this year’s Brick in Architecture Awards!

The Brick in Architecture Awards, sponsored by the Brick Industry Association since 1989, recognize the most impressive uses of clay brick in architecture. Architectural and design firms can enter their designs in nine different categories:

  • Commercial
  • Education, K–12
  • Education, Colleges and universities
  • Historic renovation
  • International (project located outside of the U.S., Canada, or U.S. territory)
  • Residential, single family
  • Residential, multifamily
  • Paving and landscaping
  • Thin brick

An additional Craftsmanship category is awarded to recognize an individual mason or a team of masons “who skillfully install brick in an artful/unique way.”

The Brick Industry Association chose 42 winning projects spanning the United States, Belgium, Canada, China, Columbia, and South Africa. This year, the winners “demonstrate why brick matters as a sustainable building material” thanks to its exceptional durability, fire resistance, energy efficiency, and adaptable aesthetic, according to Brick Industry Association President and CEO Tricia Mauer.

For the first time in the award’s history, all the winning projects will be celebrated live at the first-ever Brick Excellence Gala on April 9, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Orlando in Florida. Learn more about the gala, which will take place during the 2026 National Clay Brick Expo, at this link.
