Can you believe it’s already August? As we enter the second half of this year, it’s time for another round of ACerS journal news and tips!

New Conference Collection

As a special service to the attendees of the Virtual Glass Summit, ACerS and Wiley have posted a new conference collection. Mario Affatigato, editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Applied Glass Science, selected recent, highly interesting articles that highlight the Women in Glass special issue and draw attention to other highly downloaded articles.

Click on this VGS Conference Collection link to view the articles, which are free-to-read through September. (Note: the open-access article is always available.)

Recently released journal issues

ACT: September/October issue with 43 articles, two of which are open access. Topics in this issue include ceramic matrix composites, solid oxide fuel cell/electrolyzer technologies, and novel processing methods.

JACerS: September issue features four Rapid Communications. These articles provide new and substantive advancements to the state of the basic science of ceramics, glasses, and composites.  They are published rapidly to get the information into the record as soon as possible while the authors continue their research.

IJCES: July 2020 issue features two articles of interest to the Art, Architecture, and Conservation Science Division of ACerS, one on ancient amphorae and the other on the structure and coloration of ancient Ru celadon porcelain.
