Flat glass is the second largest sector in the glass industry in the European Union after container glass. Flat glass represents around 30% of total glass production. In the European Union, 97% of flat glass is produced using the float process.

Argonne announces new licensing agreement with Akhan Semiconductor

Argonne National Laboratory announced a new intellectual property licensing agreement with Akhan Semiconductor, continuing a public-private partnership to bring diamond-based semiconductor technologies to market. The agreement gives Akhan exclusive rights to a suite of diamond-based semiconductor inventions developed by nanoscientist Ani Sumant of Argonne’s Center for Nanoscale Materials.

Blasch Ceramics opens petrochemical office for India, Middle East plants

Blasch Precision Ceramics, a New York-based ceramic technology manufacturer, named Shailesh Dayal as its newest regional sales manager, heading up Blasch’s new location in Agra, India. The new office is slated to focus on petrochemical and refining facilities in the Middle East and India.
