RUSNANO to produce abrasive resistant parts using nanostructured ceramic and metal-ceramic materials
The Supervisory Council has approved RUSNANO participation in setting up the production of abrasive resistant parts using nano-structured ceramic and metal-ceramic materials. The project was initiated by Virial LLC, one of the Russian market leaders in abrasive resistant ceramic and metal ceramic parts and units for oil production, refinery and chemical industries. Siberian Organics CJSC will co-invest in the project.
Morgan introduces two new piezoelectric ceramic materials
Morgan Technical Ceramics announced the release of its new piezoelectric ceramic materials, PZT-5K-HD and PZT-508-HD. These materials are used for medical imaging, vascular flow and ultrasound applications. Additionally, the piezoelectric ceramic materials are used in medical and industrial high frequency and high sensitivity level and flow measurement applications.
The agreement provides distribution of DFI’s NanoPax™ product throughout the Provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northern Canadian Territories in automotive (car and light trucks) dealerships.
Acme Telepower of India orders 310 fuel cell units from IdaTech and Ballard
IdaTech will develop and supply fuel cell systems for delivery to ACME in 2009 and 2010, including 310 direct hydrogen fueled systems for delivery this year. The direct hydrogen fueled systems use Ballard’s FCgen-1020 ACS fuel cell stack, while the remaining systems will utilise natural gas and will incorporate Ballard’s new FCgen-1300 fuel cell stack.
Saflex offers new architectural glass colors
Saflex, a unit of Solutia Inc., is offering 10 unique colors can be achieved by utilizing two or more layers from the company’s Vanceva Color line of poly vinyl butyral (PVB) interlayers for laminated glass.
