About a year ago, Salman Khan and his idea of free, video-based education came to my attention. He and others are redefining the way education is delivered. And, his ideas are really resonating—his free educational videos are reported to have been watched 200 million times. In a recent interview with MIT Technology Review writer, Antonio Regalado, Khan says that his nonprofit Khan Academy serves about 6.5 unique viewers per month and has a yearly budget of about $10 million.

If you are interested in issues like the cost, effectiveness or delivery of education, you will want to read the interview. Or, you might just want to know more about how a (sort of) ordinary guy hit on a disruptive idea and is running with it.
