Got some time? Venkat Srinivasan’s “This Week in Batteries” blog is definitely worth poking around if you want a lot of detailed, well-written info on battery science and, gee, a lot of other pieces of the advanced batteries puzzle.

Srinivasan has the tech cred. He is a Lawrence Berkeley National Lab researcher who works in lab’s Batteries for Advanced Transportation Technologies program. Sure, he can tell you the ins and outs of battery separator chemistry and materials. But, he also seems at ease with topics such as the Chevy Volt business model, and the likelihood of sustainable U.S. jobs for workers building advanced batteries.

My only gripe is that I wish he would write more. But, in exchange for about one post a week, readers aren’t stuck with the usual four ‘graphs and a pix format (like you usually find here), and instead get some deep data and interesting arguments.

Hope he sticks with it. Give him some encouragement by checking TWiB out.
