Entering the Workforce
This webinar will go over aspects of entering the workforce beyond the actual job that should be a basic understanding for postgraduate and postdoctoral students. Topics will include finances, insurance policies, time off, negotiating tactics, and more. BIOGRAPHIES
Dr. Marissa Reigel, Director of Research and Development, Saint-Gobain NorPro
Dr. Marissa Reigel is the Director of Research and Development at Saint-Gobain NorPro, leading the development of custom ceramic catalyst carriers and ceramic catalysts for the petrochemical and other industries. Prior to joining NorPro, Marissa was a R&D execution manager at Savannah River National Laboratory in South Carolina specializing in the processing and application of nuclear materials. Additionally, Marissa currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Ceramic Society. Dr. Reigel received her Ph.D. and B.S. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
Beth O’Keefe, Senior HR Business Partner, Saint-Gobain NorPro
Beth O’Keefe is a seasoned Human Resources leader with over two decades of experience spanning manufacturing, healthcare, distribution, as well as property management. She is currently serving as the Senior HR Business Partner at Saint-Gobain NorPro. Prior to joining Saint-Gobain in 2021, her past experience includes HR leadership roles at Dent Neurologic Institute and Ahold-Delhaize’s American Sales Company. Beth holds a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of NY at Buffalo. In addition, she holds a Senior Professional in HR (SPHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute and multiple HR certifications from Cornell University’s ILR School.
