As a conclusion to the International Year of Glass granted by the United Nations in May 2021, a closing ceremony will be held at the United Nations Headquarters Building in New York on 14th December preceded by a reception on the evening of the 13th December. The aim will be to inform the United Nations of the outcomes of the Year and to celebrate the many activities generated.

Not all attendees will require a visa, however, if you do, you may request an invitation to attend by following these steps:

If you reside outside the U.S. and wish to attend this event, please note that the process of obtaining a visa to enter the United States will take several months.  First, ensure your passport has 6 months of validity beyond your travel dates and adequate blank pages available for each border crossing you must make for the trip.

Please check with your local US embassy website to discover the particular requirements including an entry visa and health certification for the country where you live.
