Boulder History Museum Tour
When: June 10th, 5:00pm-7:00pm
Location: The Museum of Boulder – 2205 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80302
Join the American Ceramic Society—Cements Division for a one-of-a-kind Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) event aimed at amplifying diverse voices and experiences within the cement and concrete field. This gathering will include structured DEI conversations designed to broaden perspectives as well as an immersive museum experience exploring Native American and Black history. More specifically, the event will start with guided tours through the museum’s current exhibition, Proclaiming Colorado’s Black History, by prominent Black leaders in the community. Following the tour, participants will continue the conversation in the Museum’s “Lodge” event space, where wine and a simple cheese selection will be provided. Space is limited to 30 attendees on a first-come, first-served basis, so sign up today!

Sunset Hike at Chautauqua Park
When: June 12th, 6:00pm-7:30pm
Location: Chautauqua Ranger Cottage (Trailhead) – 900 Baseline Rd & 9th St, Boulder, CO 80302
Elevation: Starts at 5,800’ with an approximate 400’ of elevation gain.
Join the ACerS Leadership team for a one-of-a-kind hike in Chautauqua Park! This early morning hike promises stunning views of the Colorado Front Range. Two hiking options will be available to match attendees to their hiking comfort levels. Please wear comfortable hiking shoes (or gym shoes) with good foot/ankle support and breathable clothing. A light jacket is recommended as temperatures fluctuate during the early morning hours. Please bring a water-filled bottle and note that the starting altitude and elevation gain are significant and will reduce typical hiking speeds. Sign up is required and limited to 30 attendees, so don’t delay signing up!
