The Cements Division of The American Ceramic Society is sponsoring 15 stipends in the amount of $200 each to help support students attending the 16th Advances in Cement-Based Materials Conference in Miami, Florida. These stipends are targeted at deserving students who demonstrate research interest in cement materials. Students must have submitted their abstract, either as a poster or an oral presentation, for the conference.

The student must be a member of The American Ceramic Society (ACerS) and the Cements Division. To apply, students must complete the information below along with a letter of support from their faculty advisor. The application, as one single pdf file, must be emailed to Prannoy Suraneni (suranenip@miami.edu). The deadline to apply is April 30, 2026.

Travel stipends will be disbursed to recipients at the conference. Attendance at the conference is mandatory for being awarded a travel stipend. Students are responsible for conference registration and arranging travel. Students based in the Miami-area are not eligible for the travel stipends.
