Abstract Submission Tips
Titles
- Title length can not exceed 150 characters, including spaces.
- Titles of talks, posters, papers all follow sentence-case formatting.
- Correct: Materials selection for the next generation thermal barrier coatings
- Incorrect: Materials Selection for the Next Generation Thermal Barrier Coatings
- Do not utilize ALL CAPS.
- Do not put the title in quotes.
- Do not bold the title.
- Do not end the title with a period.
Body
- The length of the title and body must not exceed 1500 characters, including spaces (approximately 200 words).
- Do not include references or author names in the abstract.
- Do not bold any text.
- When typing formulas, utilize proper subscript and superscript.
- Do not utilize ALL CAPS.
Submitter/Presenter/Co-Author Lists
- The submitting author will be listed as the first author and is designated as the presenter.
- If the submitter is NOT an author, click “Remove” next to the submitter’s name on the author list.
- To add co-authors, an author search MUST be performed to determine if the individual has an account in the database.
- If no author account is found in the search, click the Create an Author button and complete the required fields denoted by the red asterisk. (Do not enter a period after initials.)
- Include the following information for each author associated with the abstract:
- Full name
- Email address
- Institution and affiliation
- Address
- Professional Status
- Authors MUST appear in the order that they should appear in the publication.
- Failure to properly order the authors will result in their being incorrectly listed when/if the abstract is published.
