The symposium Glass Relaxation & Dynamics: A Celebration of David Sidebottom’s Career will honor the profound scientific contributions and lasting impact of David Sidebottom on the field of glass science. Spanning fundamental studies of ion transport, glass relaxation, fragility, and dynamic processes in disordered materials, Sidebottom’s work has shaped modern understanding of structure–property relationships in glasses and inspired generations of researchers. This symposium will bring together leading scientists from academia, industry, and national laboratories to highlight recent advances in glass dynamics, transport phenomena, spectroscopy, modeling, and emerging functional glass systems. Invited presentations from distinguished researchers will celebrate both the scientific work and collegiality of David Sidebottom while fostering new collaborations across the glass research community.
