How We Are Celebrating

The Ceramic and Glass Industry Foundation is partnering to bring you a free Virtual Field Trip to Ohio Stoneware on March 12, 2026 at 1:00 PM EST, held in celebration of the International Day of Ceramics.

In this 45-minute live tour, students in grades 5–12 will go inside a working pottery factory to see how everyday ceramic items are made and discover the science behind the process. The experience highlights key steps like slip casting, glazing, and kiln firing, helping students connect classroom STEM concepts to real-world manufacturing.
