Invitation to the 2025 Colorado Center for Advanced Ceramics (CCAC) Conference & Happy Hour with ACerS

The planning committee for the 2025 Colorado Center for Advanced Ceramics (CCAC) Conference is pleased to invite you to this year’s free event, taking place August 19 – 20th at the CoorsTek Atrium @ Colorado School of Mines. Registration is now open!

Conference details and registration: https://ceramics.mines.edu/annual-conference-2025/

We warmly invite you to a Happy Hour with ACerS – an informal opportunity for networking, collaboration, and community building across academia and industry.

This year, we are honored to welcome Dr. Celia S. Chari from the Straus Center at Harvard University as this year’s keynote speaker. Dr. Chari’s interdisciplinary work bridges materials science and cultural heritage, with a focus on synthesis–structure–property relationships across diverse fields, from aerospace engineering to art conservation.

We are also delighted to host invited talks from:

  • Dr. Lance M. Wheeler (NREL)
  • Dr. Samuel Marks (CU Boulder)
  • Dr. Chris Weinberger (Colorado State University)
  • Dr. Michael Hill (Trans-Tech)

We would be thrilled to have members of the Colorado Section join us for both the conference and the happy hour.
We hope to see you there!

Warm regards,
The 2025 CCAC Conference Planning Committee
