Andrea Ross
Appointed in November 2026, Andrea B. Ross, CAE, serves as the 12th executive director and first female executive director of The American Ceramic Society since its formation in 1898. She brings nearly a decade of Society leadership and a career spanning association management, national sponsorship programs, military public affairs, and nonprofit governance. She has been with ACerS since 2017 and was instrumental in guiding the Society’s pivot to virtual conferencing during the pandemic, generating more than $1 million in revenue while eliminating $1.9 million in contractual penalties across 13 hotel properties. She launched the inaugural ACerS Spring Meeting and spearheaded the National Day of Glass in Washington, DC, convening industry executives, federal agency directors, and congressional staff to elevate the visibility of the glass and ceramics community.
Andrea’s career prior to ACerS reflects the same breadth. She served as a U.S. Navy Reserve Public Affairs Officer for more than a decade, directed the Navy’s $9 million NASCAR national recruiting program, and founded and led a $750,000 501(c)(3) charitable foundation from concept through sustained operation. Her earlier work in sports reporting and communications informs a leadership approach grounded in clear, direct storytelling. Andrea earned her Certified Association Executive credential in 2025 and is based at the Society’s headquarters in Westerville, Ohio.
