Executive Director

Mark Mecklenborg is the executive director of The American Ceramic Society, where he works with ACerS Board to set overall strategy and policy. In addition, he manages the staff, operations, and finances of ACerS and its Ceramic Arts Network and Ceramic and Glass Industry Foundation. He started working for ACerS in 1995 as publications director and served as meetings, membership, and publications director from 2004 through 2018. He was named ACerS executive director in 2018. He earned a B.S. in English education from Miami University and an MBA from The Ohio State University.
