Journal Publishing Workshop: Writing to be published, found, and read
ORGANIZED BY ACERS JOURNALS AND SPONSORED BY WILEY
A journal publishing workshop event will be held on Monday, June 5 from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. in Queen Anne B
Come work with our journal editors to practice identifying and revising manuscript titles and abstracts using best practices for multiple audiences. You are encouraged to bring your own manuscript (or beginnings of a manuscript) to the workshop.

The Norbert J. Kreidl Award for Young Scholars Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, June 6 from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.
The Norbert J. Kreidl Award for Young Scholars recognizes research excellence in glass science. Join us to hear from the 2023 awardee, Qi Zhou as she presents this year's Kreidl lecture.
Student & Young Professional Networking Career Panel
organized by the ACERS PRESIDENT'S COUNCIL OF STUDENT ADVISORS (PCSA)
The Student & Young Professional Networking Career Panel will be held on Tuesday, June 6 from 5:45 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. in the Queen Anne Ballroom.
Students, post-docs, and young professionals are invited to join us to hear from panelists representing industry, government, and academia. This is an opportunity to ask questions of professionals in a casual environment on a number of diverse topics (work-life balance, career opportunities, etc.).
The career professionals will rotate among attendees so that there will be an opportunity for candid discussions during the event.

GOMD2023 Student Registration Support
offered by the ACERS GLASS & OPTICAL MATERIALS DIVISION (GOMD)
The ACerS Glass & Optical Materials Division is pleased to announce availability of student support for graduate and undergraduate students to attend GOMD2023, June 4-8, 2023 in New Orleans, LA. Any undergraduate or graduate student who plans to attend the conference in person and give an oral or poster presentation is eligible to apply for a complimentary registration.
Support is limited and will be available on a first-come first-served basis. Please note that only one complimentary registration will be granted per research advisor unless there are slots available after everyone has been accommodated once.
To apply for the student support, complete the online application form along with a one page recommendation from the student’s PI. The application deadline is March 31, 2023.
Please note that students with the same research advisor may receive only one complimentary registration. ACerS staff will register each student and provide an email confirmation. Please contact Dr. Joe Ryan for any questions related to the application.
