SPONSORED by the PARTNERSHIP FOR RESEARCH AND EDUCATION CONSORTIUM IN CERAMICS AND POLYMERS (preccap)

Lunch with a Pro

Organized by the ACERS YOUNG PROFESSIONALS NETWORK (YPN)

The Young Professionals Network (YPN) will be pairing off industry/national lab/academia professionals with students over lunch during ICACC to give students a chance to ask candid questions about careers in materials science in an informal, intimate setting.

Lunch is on your own, as the YPN is simply linking students with industry/national lab/academia volunteers.

This year the Lunch with a Pro program will be offered on Monday, January 27 at Noon, and Wednesday, January 29 at Noon.

If you wish to lunch with a professional at ICACC, please be sure to register and indicate your preferred day.

NOTE: You will need to be at the ACerS booth at Noon on your preferred date in order to be matched up with a professional. Please be aware that students and professionals will be matched together onsite. Arriving after Noon may mean that the opportunity to be matched up will have passed.

ACerS Journal Workshop: Expand your impact

Organized by ACERS JOURNALS team

Successful research impacts both the field of the research and broader society.  While most researchers understand the academic impact of publications, few are trained to address societal impact.

This workshop discusses methods for improving the reach of your publications including options for sharing your work.  Furthermore, the workshop provides insight on the need for and hands-on experience with formulating societal impact language.

The workshop will be held on Tuesday, January 28 from 12 Noon - 1:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

Please register to attend so we have enough for everyone!
