The ACerS President’s Council of Student Advisors (PCSA) is hosting the 2021 Humanitarian Pitch Competition for you to pitch your ideas to a panel of judges about solutions to a challenge that a community is experiencing. By utilizing your material engineering background, you should aim to show how improved materials/processes will benefit a community in need.
Assemble a team of up to four participants to develop a solution to a real-world problem using materials science. This year’s pitches must adhere to the following theme: Use Materials Knowledge to Address a Health Related Humanitarian Issue Locally or Abroad.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 4 teams! Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to participate. Find out more information about the Humanitarian Pitch Competition and be sure to submit your abstract by September 10, 2021.
