This landmark event brought together approximately 190 researchers, professionals, students, young ceramists, industry representatives and international guests. The program included plenary and invited lectures, oral and poster sessions, scientific networking activities, and discussions covering innovation, sustainability, artificial intelligence, refractories, glass, ceramic processing and emerging ceramic technologies.
The congress also reinforced its international dimension through activities supported by ECerS, the JECS Trust and the ACerS International Brazil Chapter. Highlights included a JECS Trust-sponsored plenary lecture, international publication opportunities, support for young researchers, the Young Ceramist Evening and the JECS Trust Student Pitch Contest. These initiatives provided valuable opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the Brazilian ceramic community and The American Ceramic Society.
The participants selected through the student pitch contest received ACerS Graduate and Doctoral Student Memberships.
The event also coincided with an important institutional moment for the Brazilian Ceramic Association (ABCeram), which confirmed the elected Board of Directors for the 2027–28 term. Dachamir Hotza, chair of the ACerS International Brazil Chapter, has been elected president. Hotza looks forward to further strengthening the collaboration between ABCeram and ACerS, particularly through the ACerS International Brazil Chapter.
