It’s not too early to start thinking about Ceramics Expo! Organizers are already working earnestly behind the scenes to prepare for the new focused format of the event, which will take place again in Cleveland, Ohio, April 30–May 1, 2019.

“There is a lot of excitement surrounding the new features taking place at the show in 2019!” says Danny Scott, Ceramics Expo event director. Scott says the planning for the 5th annual installment of Ceramics Expo is going “fantastically well” and they are on track to make the new show format a better experience for attendees.

Organizers have already outlined the subject matter for both days. Day one focuses on topics like sourcing raw materials, applications of ceramics for energy storage, and polymer-derived ceramics. Day two covers subjects like sustainability in the R&D process and research advances in glass applications, electro-ceramics, and additive manufacturing. You can view the rest of the topics at this link.

So far, 32 speakers have committed to sharing their knowledge at Ceramics Expo 2019. You’ll hear from subject matter experts at Corning, BCC Research, Ford, CoorsTek, Kyocera, and Lockheed Martin, to name a few. Visit the Ceramics Expo home page to see the first conference speaker lineup. Twelve are currently listed, but Scott says they will be posting the rest of the speakers within the next couple of weeks.

“With a floor plan already being over 80 percent sold with five months still to go, we are pretty confident that Ceramics Expo 2019 will be the knockout event of the year!” Scott adds.

What’s new for Ceramics Expo 2019

Wondering what the new format is about? Because business leaders tend to have busy schedules, Ceramics Expo 2019 was reorganized into two longer—but a lot more productive—days, according to Scott. “The new two-day format … for the exhibition and conference has been very well received throughout the industry,” he says.

Looking to connect with prospective buyers or suppliers ahead of time? Pre-schedule a one-on-one meeting via the B2B Matchmaking meetings platform, a free service for suppliers and senior buyers. “The B2B Matchmaking will be stepping up a gear with a dedicated area being built on the exhibition floor for those important buyer/supplier meetings,” Scott adds.

Speaking of connecting with suppliers, you will find a complete list of exhibitors on the Ceramics Expo website. Search alphabetically or download the list, but keep checking back, as new exhibitors continue to be added. Organizers again expect more than 300 companies will be on the floor to demonstrate their latest products and technology.

Other show features include Product Showcase with interactive demonstrations, the Innovation trail that features cutting-edge technology, and the two-track manufacturing and applications conference.

We would be remiss if we left out the many networking opportunities available at Ceramics Expo. In fact, Scott says they devoted a major effort into the invitation-only welcome reception that takes place the evening before opening day. “The new look Welcome Reception … has been given some significant investment to help create a fantastic, fun environment for exhibitors and invited VIPs to network before the event opens its doors to visitors,” he explains.
