The Taiwan Chapter of The American Ceramic Society serves ACerS members throughout Taiwan for the purpose of promoting the arts and sciences connected with ceramics and glass science and engineering. Events such as workshops, industrial showcases, and seminars are planned to enhance and facilitate the interaction, technical discussions, and potential collaborations between and among ACerS members in Taiwan.

Taiwan Chapter hosts Second Taiwan-Japan Workshop on Powder Processing Technology for high quality products
The Workshop was organized by Prof. Wei-Hsing Tuan, National Taiwan University and Prof. M. Naito of Osaka University. Several members of American Ceramic Society had attended the Workshop held March 9, 2023

Inaugural Meeting for ACerS Taiwan Chapter held in December 2019
The ACerS Taiwan Chapter held its inaugural meeting on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at the National Taipei University of Science and Technology Materials Hall. Dr. Tatsuki Ohji (National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Japan), who was the current president of ACerS, made the keynote presentation at this inaugural meeting.

Taiwan Chapter Co-Organizes International Conference
The 1st International Conference on Asia Pacific Mining and Metallurgy (APMM) took place November 17-20, 2019, at National Cheng Kung University in Tainan, Taiwan.
The 2019 APMM was an international platform for scholars, researchers, and participants to share and discuss interdisciplinary research and findings in the engineering fields of mining and metallurgy. Topics of the conference included geo-resource exploration, geo-resource exploitation, metallurgical engineering, materials science, circular economy, and sustainable resources.
Invited keynote speakers were Prof. Syd Sl. Peng, Prof. Jien-Wei Yeh, Prof. Takeshi Tsuji, Prof. Shinya Kitamura, and Dr. Jing-Tao Zhu.
