The Multi-Society Diversity Council (MSDC) is an informal group of members from professional societies serving the materials science and engineering fields who have come together to help make their societies better. The goals of the MSDC are to ensure that the council societies are welcoming to all groups through the format and content of meetings, websites, awards programs, membership services, and other initiatives. These groups include, but are not limited to, minorities, women, people with disabilities, new parents, LGBTQ+, international, and other underrepresented groups.
