Our Mission

Manufacturing Division of the American Ceramic Society is dedicated to addressing the needs of the ceramics manufacturing industry and to supporting the production of all ceramic components and products. The Manufacturing Division will strive to provide quality technical programming for industrial participants, promote the recruitment and hiring of ceramic engineers into ceramic manufacturing companies, develop short courses and workshops to facilitate the education of industrial personnel in the field of ceramics, and provide support for the manufacturers and suppliers of ceramic materials.

Founded in 2015, Ceramics Expo is the natural home for Manufacturing Division activities, including targeted workshops, short courses, Division membership lunches, and Division business meetings. Be part of this dynamic trade show held annually.

Also the Division curates information of keen interest to manufacturers on topics such as:

  • EPA’s Toxic Substances Control Act
  • Hazardous air pollutants and rules for the Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT)
  • Respirable crystalline silica standards
  • Government agencies
