ACT

The International Journal of Applied Ceramic Technology is devoted to the development and commercialization of engineered ceramic products and processes.

About ACT

Research featured in ACT explores performance optimization, barriers to commercialization, design and testing, environmental health issues, international standardization activities, databases, and cost models. Papers on design, research, and development that helps move ceramics from bench to production for all application areas are welcome. Read the complete Aims and Scopes.

Led by editors-in-chief Monica Ferraris and Hua-Tay Lin, ACT's editorial board comprises experts from industry, government, and academia.
Monica Ferraris is a Full Professor of Science and Technology of Materials at Politecnico di Torino, Italy.  Her main research activity is on glasses, glass ceramics and composites for joining and coating. An ACerS member since 1995 and affiliated with the Engineering Ceramics Division, she has been awarded with the Global Star Award, and is a Global Ambassador of The American Ceramic Society.
Hua-Tay Lin, Distinguished Professor of Guangdong University of Technology, Guangzhou, China.  Research mainly focused on mechanical reliability of advanced ceramic components and electronic devices, high-temperature mechanical performance of ceramics and composites, high-temperature steam effects on mechanical reliability of ceramics and environmental barrier coating systems, and engineering of microstructure and properties of ceramics and composites, and coatings.  He is a Fellow of The American Ceramic Society.
