Students have the opportunity to attend a facility tour at Bombardier’s Saint-Laurent Manufacturing Centre on Monday, October 28, 12 noon to 5 p.m. , during MS&T’13. Bombardier is the world’s only manufacturer of planes and trains. The Saint-Laurent Manufacturing Centre is the oldest Bombardier building. Acquired in 1986, this purchase was Bombardier’s first step in the Aerospace industry. Today, this modern facility can be considered as the biggest supplier of manufactured parts and sub-assemblies for Bombardier plants worldwide. During this visit, students will first walk through the production facility, then visit the CSeries Experimental Static Test Hangar and will end the visit at the M&P Engineering Laboratory.

Due to limited space, a maximum of 40 students are able to go on the tour. In addition, we can accommodate a maximum of 4 students per school. Tour spaces will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. A waiting list will be started for those we cannot accommodate. Register no later than October 7, 2013.. This student tour is organized by ACerS’ President’s Council of Student Advisors (PCSA).
