WESTERVILLE, OH—The American Ceramic Society (ACerS) will elevate 13 members to Fellow status this year. The Fellow designation recognizes ACerS members who have distinguished themselves through outstanding contributions to the ceramics community by means of broad and productive scholarship in ceramic science and technology, conspicuous achievement in ceramic industry, and/or outstanding service to the Society.
“The 2026 Class of Fellows includes a select group of 13 leaders in ceramic science and technology. Their careers span academia, industry, and national laboratories, and their impact extends around the world. Through their professional accomplishments and dedicated volunteer service, they have advanced the mission of the Society. I am honored to congratulate this year’s Fellows on their exceptional achievements and unwavering commitment to The American Ceramic Society,” says Mario Affatigato, ACerS president.
The awards will be presented at the Society’s Annual Honor and Awards banquet, Oct. 5, 2026, during ACerS Annual Meeting at the Materials Science and Technology Conference, October 4–7 in Pittsburgh, Pa.
