On Sept. 12, 2025, members of the ACerS Eastern Tennessee Section had an opportunity to tour BAM Inc., a manufacturing company out of Knoxville, Tenn. BAM, Inc. utilizes high-temperature furnace technology to process advanced materials. The tour guide provided an overview of their advanced materials processing, furnaces capabilities and boron nitride materials production. Their material expertise includes carbon, carbon/carbon, graphite, rayon, OPAN carbon fabrics, and high temperature ceramics and composites, including SiC, BC and BN.
