The ACerS International Spain Chapter presented the SOCIEMAT-ACerS International Spain Chapter Award to Juan Bautista Carda Castelló, professor at the Universitat Jaume I of Castellón. This award recognizes a researcher’s scientific and/or technological contributions to the development of ceramic and glass materials. The ceremony took place during the XVIII CNMAT Materials Congress 2026, held in Portugalete, Spain, June 16–19, 2026. Carda Castelló delivered a keynote lecture titled “Beyond traditional ceramics: Contributions to development of sustainable and multifunctional materials.”
