ACerS seeks candidates for editors of Journal of the American Ceramic Society
The American Ceramic Society is seeking candidates to fill several editor positions for Journal of the American Ceramic Society (JACerS).
Technical specializations sought for multiple editor positions
Bioceramics
Glass and glass ceramics
Fracture mechanics
High-temperature strength
Grain boundary phases
Silicon carbide and nitride
Porous materials
Electrical characterization
Photonic and optical materials
Ab initio simulations
Ceramic matrix composites
Deformation behaviors
Editors are expected to handle approximately 10 manuscripts per month. Responsibilities include reviewing manuscripts to determine whether they should be sent for review, managing the review process, and following up with authors as appropriate. We place strong emphasis on efficient processing of submissions. The time commitment is approximately 10 hours per month.
