The third outstanding researcher award in the field of ceramics and glass will be presented at the 18th edition of the Spanish Materials Society Conference (CNMAT), to be held June 16–19 in Portugalete, near Bilbao.

This year’s recipient is Juan Bautista Carda Castelló. His extensive professional career is centered on ceramic science and technology, with research spanning multiple areas, including ceramic glazes, inorganic pigments and unconventional synthesis processes such as sol-gel methods. His work has made significant contributions to the field at both the national and international levels.

Castelló will deliver a keynote lecture sponsored by the ACerS International Spain Chapter and will receive the award during the conference.
