The Center for Advance Materials and Manufacturing (CAMM) hosted the 2nd annual student poster night at the Institute of Advance Materials and Manufacturing (IAMM) on Feb. 6, 2025. This event was co-hosted by the ACerS Eastern Tennessee Section and the Oak Ridge Chapter of ASM International (ORCASMI).
The Eastern Tennessee Section awarded Kim Pestovich the first-place graduate student poster award for their work titled “Crystal Growth and Scintillation Performance of 22 mm Diameter RbSr2Br5:Eu and RbSr2I5:Eu”. Kim Pestovich is currently a PhD candidate within the Scintillation Materials Research Center at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
