On Oct. 16, the Eastern Tennessee Section took a field trip to East Fork Pottery in Asheville, North Carolina, to tour its production plant. East Fork specializes in manufacturing traditional dinnerware. While there, company staff walked attendees through the entire process, from making their company’s proprietary clay body to glazing and firing. As a special treat, each attendee received a mug.
