The ACerS Glass & Optical Materials Division is pleased to provide registration grants of $280 each for selected students to attend the division’s annual meeting GOMD2020. We are also happy to announce that we will provide registration support to selected postdoctoral researchers with a reduced registration fee and $280 registration supplement. Details can be found below. Application deadline is Friday, February 28, 2020. This award is designed to encourage undergraduate and graduate students, as well as early career postdoctoral researchers, in the field of glass and optical materials to attend the GOMD2020 meeting, which will be held in New Orleans, LA, USA May 17-21, 2020. See the GOMD2020 website for further meeting details. The award will cover the student registration fee of $280 per student awardee and $280 off the reduced registration fee for each postdoctoral awardee. Application Process: Each applicant must be a current graduate, undergraduate student or postdoctoral researcher who has submitted an abstract for an oral or poster presentation at the meeting. Candidates should send an e-mail applying for the travel grant requesting registration assistance, a copy of the submitted abstract and abstract number, applicant name, institution/university and status (undergraduate, graduate student, or post doc researcher) to Erica Zimmerman by Friday, February 28, 2020, 5:00 p.m. Eastern US time. Furthermore, each applicant should arrange for a letter of support to be submitted by a sponsoring faculty member or PI. Awardees will be invited to attend the GOMD business meeting during GOMD2020.
