Going to PACRIM 12/GOMD 2017? Make sure to attend So You Want to Get Published: A workshop for graduate students and young professionals, sponsored by Saint-Gobain, being held on Monday, May 22, 2017, from noon to 1:15 p.m., in conjunction with the 12th Pacific Rim Conference on Ceramic and Glass Technology (PACRIM 12) including Glass & Optical Materials Division Meeting (GOMD 2017), in Waikoloa, Hawaii, USA. This workshop will explore opportunities for and the process of getting published.
Speaker and panelist Bill Farenholtz, editor-in-chief, Journal of the American Ceramic Society, along with panelists, Hua-Tay Lin, editor, International Journal of Applied Ceramic Technology, and Mario Affatigato, editor-in-chief, International Journal of Applied Glass Science, will cover advice for students and young professionals, and will discuss the benefits and challenges of submitting research papers in the appropriate journal with the appropriate formatting.
