Electronic edition

The March 2023 issue of ACerS Bulletin is now available online.

In this month’s issue, we look at new initiatives, materials, and systems to promote sustainability in industry. The first feature article interviews Imerys global sustainability director Nancy Bunt, who discusses the work Imerys is doing to sustainably manage the consumption of minerals. The second feature article provides a snapshot of the 2nd Structure and Thermodynamics of Oxides/carbides/nitrides/borides at High Temperature (STOHT2) conference that took place in October 2022. The third feature article previews a widely applicable high-temperature thermal energy storage system developed by Kraftblock (Sulzbach, Germany).

In addition to the feature stories, the “Deciphering the Discipline” column by Olivia Brandt describes using ceramic coextrusion to fabricate high-temperature heat exchangers, and the “Business and Market View” column overviews the use of environmental, social, and governance standards in industry.

For the first time since 2020, the Electronic Materials and Applications meeting and the International Conference and Expo on Advanced Ceramics and Composites took place in person in Florida. Read highlights from EMA 2023 and ICACC 2023.

Finally, the Bulletin is set to witness a digital evolution with the May issue. Read about what to expect and learn how to opt in for print in the “Letter from the editor” by Eileen De Guire.
