Day two of Ceramics Expo 2018 proved to be just as bustling—if not more so—than opening day.

Sessions at the Conference at Ceramics Expo were standing room only as attendees learned about advanced ceramics in automotive applications, electroceramics applications, and battery technologies in track one.

Track two sessions focused on computational modeling in ceramic processing, advanced ceramic materials as alternatives to traditional materials, and disruptive technologies in our industry.

Exhibitors were busy discussing products and services with prospective buyers crowding their booths. I’m fairly certain that most exhibitors will go home with dozens of leads!

Visitors stopped by ACerS booth from 2–3 p.m. for the Let’s Talk Ceramics coffee break, where they chatted with marketing and communications director Eileen De Guire, who delivered yesterday’s keynote address on big data and materials. And ACerS marketing project manager Andrea Ross drew another lucky winner to go home with a brand new Echo Dot!

Ceramics Expo day 2 culminated in a networking reception sponsored by Geo, where attendees were treated to Dom Perignon champagne, top shelf drinks, and high-end wines, in addition to a spread of great food. Thank you, Geo!

All in all, day 2 was a definite thumbs-up for everyone in attendance.
