The Pittsburgh Section is the oldest ACerS section. Our geographical area encompasses the following counties of western Pennsylvania: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Fayette, Forest, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Warren, Washington, and West Moreland.

Upcoming Events
We have exciting news! The Pittsburgh Section of ACerS and the ASM Pittsburgh Chapter will hold their joint meeting on March 19, 2026, at the Pittsburgh Brewing Company. Housed in the former PPG Industries Creighton glass plant, the event encompasses a tour of the repurposed manufacturing factory and social hour at 5:30 pm, providing an opportunity for networking and professional engagement. Dinner will be served at 6:30 pm, followed by a technical presentation delivered by Paul Boscarino, the Vice President of Sales & Marking of Holland Manufacturing. Paul will enlighten us on “Refractory for Commercial Glass Manufacturing”. We will also be joined by Marcus J. Fish, ACerS Director of Development, who will give an update on developments at ACerS and the Ceramic and Glass Industry Foundation.
