Meetings and Events

Central Ohio Section Meeting and OSU Ceramic Engineering Reunion

The new Central Ohio Section held its first meeting in conjunction with Ohio State’s Ceramic Engineering Reunion on Monday, July 30, 2018, at The Ohio State University Faculty Club.

ACerS members had the opportunity to learn about the new Central Ohio Section and meet the Section’s officers! Alumni of OSU’s Department of Ceramic Engineering were able to reconnect with fellow graduates, and many of the attendees went on a tour Ohio Stadium, followed by a happy hour and buffet dinner.

A colleague of Professor Perena Gouma, the Edward Orton, Jr. Chair in Ceramic Engineering at OSU, gave the keynote presentation on some of Dr. Gouma’s work, and ACerS president Mike Alexander provided an update on the Society.
