The Nuclear & Environmental Technology Division announces that the 2013 D.T. Rankin award goes to Vijay Jain, Savannah River Remediation. This award recognizes a division member who has demonstrated exemplary service to the division. The award honors Tom Rankin’s memory and service to the division, and will be presented at the NETD business meeting held at the ACerS Annual Meeting and MS&T’13 on October 28th in Montreal.
The 2012 Best Paper award goes to Kazuya Idemitsu, Yoshihiko Matsuki, Masanao Kishimoto, Yaohiro Inagaki, Tatsumi Arima, Yoshiko Haraguchi, Yu Yamashita, and Michitaka Sasoh, for their paper “Migration of Iodine Solidified in Ettringite into Compacted Bentonite,” which was presented at MS&T’12. The award will be given at MS&T’13.
