Beilin Ye currently lives in Hong Kong and she plans to pursue her doctoral degree after July 2021 in City University of Hong Kong.

She received her B.S. degree in materials chemistry at Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute in Jingdezhen in 2015 and M.S. degree in material science at South China University of Technology in 2020. During her postgraduate studies, she conducted a series of research related to high entropy ceramics under the supervision of Prof. Chu. Up to now, she has published over 20 papers on peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of the American Ceramic Society, Acta Materialia, Corrosion Science, Scripta Materialia, and Physical Review B, etc. which have been cited more than 500 times.

Her primary fields of research cover the design, fabrication, characterization of high entropy materials. As a Ph.D. offer holder, her potential research project focuses on the reliability studies of interconnect failure in 3D IC technology and thermodynamics and kinetic mechanisms in it. She hopes this research experience offers her a perfect chance to use what she learned and dig deeper in the material science research field.
