Chie Kawamura

Chie Kawamura is a manager of the Materials Research and Development Department of the Research and Development Laboratory in TAIYO YUDEN CO., LTD., Japan.

She graduated from the Department of Applied Chemistry of the School of Engineering, Saitama University, in 1996. She received the Master’s degree of engineering from the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Saitama University, in 1998. She joined Taiyo Yuden in 1998. She received a Ph. D in Engineering from the Keio University, in 2008.

In general, it was not really suited to synthesize fine particles by solid state reaction. However, her research achievements enables to mass-produce the finer and higher tetragonality BaTiO₃ powder by solid state route.  Her research continued to contribute to the increase in capacity and decrease in size of MLCCs.

 Her synthesizing technique of finer particle by solid state route has been making a contribution to synthesize other complicated materials such as Li₄Ti₅O₁₂ and Z-type hexaferrite.
