Jin-Tao Gao is an Associate Professor, at State Key Laboratory of Advanced Metallurgy, University of Science and Technology Beijing, China.

Jin-Tao Gao received his bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering field at University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2006, and received his doctor’s degree in metallurgical engineering field at University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2013.

From 2013 – 2017, he was lecturer in State Key Laboratory of Advanced Metallurgy in University of Science and Technology Beijing. During 2016 – 2017, he was a visiting Fellow in WMG, The University of Warwick, UK. From 2017 – present, he is Associate Professor in State Key Laboratory of Advanced Metallurgy in University of Science and Technology Beijing. Jin-Tao Gao has been awarded 2 NSFC, and has been authored on 65 papers indexed by SCI, and has been authorized 16 patents. He is the secretary-general of youth committee of the Solid Waste Sub-Committee in the Chinese Ceramic Society, and received the Prize in Metallurgical Science and Technology from the Chinese Society for Metals in 2014.

Jin-Tao Gao works on super gravity metallurgy and resource utilization of complex ores and metallurgical slags, including the thermodynamic for phase equilibria in slags, the crystallization and growth kinetics for slags, the phase separation of complex symbiotic ores (rare earth ores, vanadium titanium magnetite, high phosphorous iron ore, and ludwigite ore, et al.), the enrichment, separation and application of valuable phases (REEs, Ti, V, B, P, Cr, Na, et al.) in metallurgical slags, and also the purification of liquid steel.
