Maria Ilatovskaia is currently a postdoctoral fellow specializing in materials thermodynamics at Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH (Jülich, Germany). She graduated with a diploma in non-ferrous metallurgy from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (St. Petersburg, Russia) in 2012 and received her PhD in materials science from TU Bergakademie Freiberg (Freiberg, Germany) in 2023.

Her research focus on the experimental study of phase equilibria and thermodynamic properties, as well as database development using the CALPHAD approach and thermodynamic modeling of salt and oxide systems. Dr. Ilatovskaia has authored and co-authored over 25 papers. She received the Best Oral Presentation Award at the RCCT Conference in 2015 and the RTAC Conference in 2016, as well as the Best Student Poster Award at the Calphad Conference in 2022.
