Matthew Lambert is Manager, Special Projects, for Allied Mineral Products in Columbus, OH, where he has worked since 2012. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Ceramic Engineering and a M.S. in Materials Science. He started his career at the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in 2005 as a research engineer and then moved to a research and development role at Vesuvius Research, both in Pittsburgh, PA. He recently published in the new International Journal of Ceramic Engineering and Science (IJCES) and has consulted on several patents. He is a member and former Chair of the Refractory Ceramics Division and currently the Treasurer of the Central Ohio Section. Matthew has volunteered his time to help with ASM Materials Mini-Camps, high school and college level student outreach, Ohio State engineering alumni functions, and supervised several senior design projects at Ohio State and Missouri S&T. He is also active in the UNITECR 2021 planning committee and a peer reviewer for the IJCES. His current research interests include statistical analysis and machine learning for large data sets, conductive refractory ceramic linings, and practical thermomechanical property testing.
