Minxia Fang is currently a PhD candidate at Frontier Institute of Science and Technology, Xi’an Jiaotong University, China.

She received her bachelor’s degree in Materials Physics in 2011. During her PhD period, she gave several oral talks at a number of international conferences like IMF, AMF, AMEC, and was awarded “Excellent Poster Award” at IUMRS 2013. She has authored 6 research papers.

Her research interest is i ferroelectric/piezoelectric and ferroelastic materials, including their phase transition behavior, microstructure, properties and structure-property relationship. She has strong expertise in transmission electron microscopy (including HRTEM, CBED, STEM/HADDF, EDX) and currently she is working on the re-entrant phenomenon in both ferroelectric and ferroelastic systems, developing large and thermal-stable piezoelectric materials, studying the elinvar effect in Cu-based shape memory alloys.
