Pelagia-Irene (Perena) Gouma

Pelagia-Irene (Perena) Gouma is a Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, and the Director of the Center for Nanomaterials and Sensor Development at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Her research focuses on novel synthesis, processing, and characterization of nanostructured metal oxides and bio-composites, as well as the fabrication of electronic devices-sensors and breathalyzers-utilizing the ceramics as active/sensing elements for environmental, energy, and nanomedicine applications.
